Dr. Abdul-Ali received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where she also completed internships at the Chicago Lighthouse, specializing in low vision. Another internship at a private practice in Pennsylvania allowed her to improve her skills in contact lenses ,refractive surgery, dry eye management as well as diagnosis and treatment of red eye diseases. She also completed hospital based optometry internships at Walter Reed Medical center in Maryland and at Providence VA medical center in Rhode Island.

I went in for a contact lens exam. The optometrist was great. Very knowledgeable. Took the time to educate me on visual acuity. Was a great resource from a Physician's standpoint. I was leaving for a trip to Costa Rica the following day and was give 10 days worth of contact lens to try.
