At Visual Health Doctors of Optometry, our mission is to offer high-quality eye care and services to our valued patients. Even though we’re all adjusting to a new normal way of doing business, our optometrists in Arlington, VA are looking forward to seeing you back in our offices starting on May 12!

Your Safety & Health Are Covered

Because your healthy vision is our top priority, we’ve been working on ways to offer our services with an enhanced focus on your safety and health. When we see you in our offices again, we want you to know that we’ve taken multiple steps to ensure your well-being and comfort.

At your next visit to our optometry offices, you can look forward to the following:

  • Limiting eye exams to two per hour

  • Limiting the number of employees & customers in our showroom

  • Online patient forms – please fill out prior to your appointment

  • Temperature check on arrival with a non-contact thermometer for our employees & patients

  • PPE for all our employees including KN95 masks as well as face masks provided when patients are coming in

  • All equipment will be cleaned after every exam

  • Gloves will be provided to patients to make their frame purchase

  • Hand hygiene will be enforced with handwashing for 20 seconds

  • We will maintain 6’ distance between people as much as possible

Focused on Essential Eye Care

The first few weeks we will be focussing on essential eye care needs such as:

  • Blurred vision which is significantly hampering day to day operations

  • Broken or lost eyewear

  • Needing new contact lenses for people who have previously worn contact lenses  (We are excluding new contact lens fits at this time until June 10, as that’s when the governor lifts the stay at home order)

  • Contact lens-induced redness in the eyes or discomfort leading to pain & sensitivity to light

  • Flashes & floaters in the eyes with or without loss of vision

  • Any red eye or pink eye, which may or not be associated with sensitivity to light, as well as any eye pain

  • Eye injuries/trauma

We would recommend people who are coming in for eyeglass adjustments, etc. to come in after June 10 as that’s when the stay-at-home order gets lifted.
